In many areas, aquatic environments are facing increasing pressures: pollution, poaching, non-compliance with regulations, climate change, and the decline of certain species. Faced with these challenges, local fishing associations (AAPPMA) are strengthening their teams and seeking passionate, motivated, and responsible volunteers willing to work in the field as volunteer private fishing wardens . This essential, often overlooked role is central to the preservation of ecosystems and the sustainable management of fish populations .

Your main tasks
The role of the Private Fisheries Warden is not limited to surveillance. He embodies authority, education, observation, and prevention :
Monitor and protect the fishing area allocated to the AAPPMA
Participate in the fight against poaching, nuisances, or pollution.
Enforcing current regulations
Inform, raise awareness, advise and promote good fishing practices
Ensuring peace and respect for nature
This role is official, regulated and exercised under oath .

Desired profile
The AAPPMA (local fishing associations) are looking for volunteers who meet the following conditions:
To be a member of an AAPPMA (fishing association) and at least 18 years old
Possess a clean criminal record extract n°2
Demonstrate seriousness, maturity, motivation and availability
Having a sense of contact, communication and respect
Sharing the fundamental values of community fishing: respect, protection, transmission
No prior police or administrative skills are required: the training will prepare you for anything .

Training & Swearing-in
Each candidate benefits from a specific training program , provided by the Federation, with the acquisition of skills:
Regulatory & Legal Framework
Surveillance techniques
Communication & Prevention
Safety & professional posture
At the end of the process and after validation, the oath is issued by decision of the Court , allowing the holder to legally carry out these missions with status and legitimacy .
